Enterprises are accelerating investments in analytics, artificial intelligence (AI) and agentic applications, increasing the importance of trusted and well-governed data. As enterprises expand the use of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data, traditional rule-based approaches to data quality and data observability can struggle to cope. Data teams are under pressure to detect anomalies earlier, improve confidence in business data and establish reliable foundations for AI-driven decision-making. In this environment, providers focused on automated data quality and data observability are gaining attention. To realize the full potential of an agentic enterprise, companies must develop scalable data quality practices that underpin and govern autonomous data systems. Anomalo operates within this market by applying machine learning (ML) and AI-driven techniques to monitor data quality, improve data understanding and support enterprise data trust initiatives.
Anomalo is a data quality and data observability software provider focused on helping enterprises detect, investigate and resolve data issues. It has pioneered the use of AI and ML for automated data quality monitoring, built on its proprietary data profiling and prediction engine. Anomalo has now expanded its platform to support broader data understanding and AI-related use cases. In April, Anomalo unveiled its Self-Driving Data System. The updated product extends Anomalo’s existing capabilities into a platform enhanced with agents designed to automate the entire workflow, from detection and diagnosis through insight generation, decision support, reporting, documentation and business monitoring. Anomalo was rated as Innovative in ISG’s 2026 Buyers Guide for Data Observability.
Trusted data is becoming increasingly important as enterprises adopt AI-enabled decision-making and agentic workflows. Data engineering and data operations (DataOps) teams
At the core of Anomalo Agentic Platform is a suite of nine specialized agents, each focused on a specific data management task. While five agents are currently generally available, four additional agents remain under development. The platform includes foundational capabilities such as the Table Observability Agent, which continuously monitors data tables for freshness, volume, schema, and distribution changes, and the Data Quality Agent that manages data quality through natural language interactions. Building on this foundation, the Data Insights Agent identifies meaningful data changes and generates reports focused on business relevance rather than simply flagging failures, while the Conversational Analytics Agent provides natural language access to enterprise data. The Data Documentation Agent further strengthens the platform by automatically creating and maintaining data knowledge.
While these five agents are all generally available now, Anomalo's roadmap extends these capabilities through a set of four additional agents designed to further automate the data management lifecycle. The Data Issue First Responder Agent is intended to act as an autonomous incident manager by identifying root causes, tracing downstream impact and notifying stakeholders. The Dashboarding and Reporting Agent will automate the creation of dashboards and reports, while the Business KPI Monitoring Agent is designed to continuously track business performance metrics. The Experiment Evaluation Agent is expected to support experimentation and A/B testing initiatives.
Taken together, the nine-agent architecture highlights Anomalo's evolution from a traditional data quality and data observability platform into an autonomous DataOps platform. The ability to connect monitoring, quality management, incident response, documentation, analytics, reporting and business KPI tracking within a unified framework has the potential to reduce operational complexity and improve trust in enterprise data. The platform also supports enterprise-oriented deployment flexibility and integration with existing data and analytics ecosystems.
Anomalo’s vision of an autonomous data management platform aligns with growing enterprise demand for AI-enabled data management, where monitoring, investigation,
From an enterprise perspective, these capabilities should be evaluated within the broader context of analytics modernization, governance maturity and AI readiness initiatives. ISG believes that trusted, well-governed data remains a foundational prerequisite for successful AI adoption. As a result, enterprises should assess Anomalo not only on the strength of its emerging agentic capabilities, but also on its ability to support scalability, governance objectives and long-term data management strategies that enable sustainable AI-driven business outcomes.
