The ISG Buyers Guide research is an assessment of how well software providers and products meet buyers’ requirements. We use a carefully crafted best practices-based methodology called the Value Index that reflects how enterprises should evaluate software providers. We believe it is important for enterprises and providers to take this approach to ensure effective total cost of ownership and lower the return on investment.
The Buyers Guide evaluates software providers across two dimensions: product and customer experience. Five evaluation categories for product experience are: usability, manageability, reliability, capability, and adaptability. Two evaluation categories are customer experience-related: validation and total cost of ownership and return on investment (TCO/ROI). We blend our firm’s experience and research, industry analyst expertise, and comprehensive software provider and product framework to yield the only reliable research-based tool for determining what enterprises should use to understand, assess, optimize and select software providers and products.
