Software Provider and Product Guide for Technology Industry
The ISG Buyers Guide is our research and assessment of how well software providers’ offerings meet buyers’ requirements. We use a carefully crafted best practices-based methodology called the Value Index that reflects how organizations actually assess software providers. We believe it is a service to both organizations and providers to take this approach since making the wrong decisions can raise the total cost of ownership for an organization, lower the return on investment and hamper its ability to reach its performance potential.
The Buyers Guide evaluates the software in seven key categories. Five are product-related: usability, manageability, reliability, capability, and adaptability. Two are customer assurance-related: validation and total cost of ownership and return on investment (TCO/ROI). We use the extensive body of our benchmark research as a framework to validate the prioritization contained in and the focus of each assessment. We also blend our firm’s experience and research, industry analyst knowledge, and comprehensive software provider and product framework to yield the only reliable research-based tool for determining what organizations need and what products they should consider.
Our Buyers Guide provide an important service; if an organization’s goal is to improve its maturity across its people, processes, information, and technology, it is critical that it be able to select the software provider and product that will do the best job.
